There is a known issue with version 1.12.0 of Next World Agent which causes the Synchronisation window to show when it is not supposed to. This issue has been fixed as of version 1.12.1 of Next World Agent. It is not possible to directly update to the fixed version due to the Synchronisation screen preventing any additional action inside of Next World Agent. You will need to follow the below steps to confirm you are connected to Wi-Fi and to update Next World Agent to 1.12.1.

  1. Press the Pico button on your controller.

  2. You will see a screen showing you a few different buttons. Hover over the right-most button with the 3 horizontal dots.

  3. Move your controller up to the WLAN option and press the trigger on your controller.

  4. Turn on the WLAN toggle if it is not already on.

  5. Select the name of the Wi-Fi you want to connect to with the controller's trigger and enter the password (you may need to ask your IT department if you do not know it).

  6. Once connected to the Wi-Fi, there may be an additional update that shows up for the Pico System. Please update to the latest version of Pico if it shows there is an update for it.

  7. We will now restart the headset to reload Agent. Hold down the power button on the top of your headset until the Pico logo shows up. Wait 10 seconds and then hold the power button again until the Pico logo shows up again.

  8. When Next World Agent has loaded, the Synchronisation screen may show up again but it may take up to a minute to complete depending on how many events it is synchronising. After this completes, you should be asked to update Next World Agent and possibly Next World Home as well.

  9. If it is the case that you were not asked to update Next World Agent, you will need to navigate to the Settings menu of the Agent to manually update. Press the Settings button in the bottom-right to load the Agent Settings. Press Update Agent to bring up the same screen as shown above to start the update.

  10. Follow the prompts to complete the update. Once it is completed, it may be stuck showing you a white box or a blank screen, in this case you will need to complete Step 5 again to restart the headset.
